Bonjour!

Is everyone in the northern hemisphere enjoying the beautiful autumn weather? I hope so! Although I haven't been very active as far as DevaintArt is concerned, I have been rather busy learning more about drawing and painting. I'll submit some new things soon.

Time for a new journal entry!

I have just made myself a lightbox to photograph small items in. Basically, it's a cardboard box turned on its side with the top flaps cut off, and three sides cut out and covered up with white tissue paper. Then a white, matte piece of card/paper layed down on the inside to cover the inside back and base, creating an infinity sweep. Now I just place lamps on the outside and the tissue paper creates a lovely diffused light on your subject

I'll post some of my results with it once i have found something worthwhile to photograph.

Well i've withdrawn from Vienna and crawled back home to the country again for the weekend. This means I now have the advantages of a cook; a magical, self-filling fridge; and a mother who will willingly tidy up after me. Yes, willingly. She loves to clean our house. Especially the toilet. I bought her a washing machine and an iron as joint presents for christmas and her birthday.

Ok let's not get carried away. The fact is, I don't have to spend lots of time washing and cleaning and cooking, and thus can spend more time trying to relax and doing things I enjoy.
